Curricula around the world share many similarities, with slight variations. Developed to accommodate the ways in which the human brain learns, each curriculum ensures that most children are prepared to learn at their respective levels during specific periods of time. However, each country prioritizes differently. Rather than solely adopting foreign curricula and expecting our students to conform, we select elements that best suit our students’ needs.
The Ontario Curriculum shares our values. With its latest update in 2023, it emphasizes “Self.” Given Ontario’s rich diversity, the curriculum acknowledges that some students may not use English as their primary language, a consideration that aligns perfectly with our approach.
As for the Thai curriculum, recognizing that most of our students are Thai and that this is an immutable fact, we aim to value them as we would any foreign student. We equip our students with the skills to read, write, and navigate Thai culture confidently. They learn to express their ideas and needs respectfully, in a manner that honors Thai traditions.
